Jerry Montgomery, of Hackensack, NJ was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 24 in connection with a burglary that happened at a New Castle residence, New Castle Police announced on Friday, Oct. 25.
According to the department, Montgomery entered a dwelling and took "various items, including a safe." Police did not specify the exact location of the burglary.
Following an investigation into the incident, Montgomery was arrested and charged with:
- Second-degree burglary;
- Third-degree grand larceny;
- Second-degree criminal mischief.
After his arrest, Montgomery was processed and arraigned in the Town of New Castle Justice Court on Friday. He was then remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail and scheduled to return to court on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
